Merry Christmas

 

December has been a busy and delightful month. A lot to wrap up at work and many Christmas parties, concerts and gatherings to attend... And then there are the cookies to bake, presents to buy.. you know ;) Dusty wishes you and your family a happy Christmas. We hope you enjoy this time as much as possible. We plan to spend time with our families, eat well, stay in our pajamas, read a good book and watch a lot of old movies :)

I really don't now what happened to me :) The minimalist me is all of an sudden into open shelves gold frames porcelain dolls (it must be the  recession-fashion) I really don't know if I even like my new style or how long it will last:)  I´m trying not get overboard but just add a touch of gold................

TWIN SET

I love stylist Emelie Johansson's laid-back, androgynous style and it had to happen that I would imitate her somewhat, even though it was unconscious. I am not good at wearing hats... They would save me from many bad hair days, but my head is so small (!) that the only hats I can actually wear are from the children's departments. I don't know how I managed with this one - it also barely stays on ;)

FULL COVER

One step correcteur serum/Stila // Full cover waterproof concealer/ Makeup forever

 

When I was in San Francisco I bought these two products at SEPHORA. I have used both almost every day since! I'm not sure if they are making me any prettier but I still lik'em. The three-color Stila serum is very smooth and soft and I'm trying to convince myself that the green takes away some of the redness on my cheeks and around my nose. The Makeup forever concealer is really thick and I only apply it right on top of the serum - on the same red areas (it's to heavy for the under eye area, for that I'd probably use YSL Touche éclat or something similar). My face is dry like a desert in the wintertime and I'm using a lot of different products to try to give it some moisture. I use Embryolisse moisturizer in the morning and oils in the evening (I switch between the "home-made" ones and Nuxe - huile prodegieuse) or I use the EGF serum. It's still not enough. I should probably drink more water, eat more wisely and get more sleep. Why is that so hard?

Online Mags - December

Even though I love the bookstore cafés here in Reykjavik where you can sit for hours with your coffee and fashion glossies - the online mags are a good alternative. I have been a dedicated reader of the net-a-porter mag and lately I've been turning the pages of a few others also.

Green Parka

 

 

 

I luuuv parkas but it is a challenge to find the perfect one. I'd prefer one that is truly over sized, like 3 sizes too big, where you can fit a juicy knit underneath and it's still huge. I even had to recycle the Elin Kling image because of parka perfection. Maybe I should go look around in the men's department...Kill two birds with one stone?
